What about ourselves, even Jesus felt the need of....?
What about ourselves, even Jesus felt
the need of Prayer!
Beloved brothers and sisters in the name of Jesus Christ!
We all know that Jesus is the central figure in Christianity. He is believed as the son of God. If Jesus is the son of God, then He is God too. Then why did He need to pray if He was seen as God?
Does God depend on anyone or anything? It is highly philosophical question. Before dealing this question, let's see who God is.
In the history, there were many who gave much attributions to God and still many are giving and will be given in future too, because God is beyond human mind and knowledge. For instance, God is Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, infinite, simple, and Unicity. These attributions or fundamental perfections of God, are not fulfilled who God is, but they teach to understand somehow about God.
Why did Jesus Christ need of prayer if He was an omnipotent. If Jesus Christ was all powerful, He would have dealt the challenges independently and without relying on God the father.. The very fact that Jesus felt the need of prayer. There were many places in the Holy Bible, Jesus prayed to God the father.
Luke 5:16_ “But Jesus
often withdrew to lonely places and prayed”.
Matthew 14:23_ “After He had dismissed them, He went up on
a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone”.
Luke 6:12_ “One of those days Jesus went out to a
mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.”
Matthew 26 : 36_ "Then Jesus went with His disciples to a
place called Gethsemane, and He said to them, 'Sit here while I go over there
and pray”.
My beloved sisters and brothers..
Isn't Jesus a God, since he felt the need of prayer?
Usually many should ask this question once after reading this above written.
The very fact, Jesus Christ felt the need of prayer or depended on God the father is, He was a human being.
- The Intangible Being became as Tangible.
- The Infinite Being became as the Finite.
- The Independent Being to Dependent.
He is none other than, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Likewise, we can keep on quoting the love of Jesus towards his people. He humbled himself to take a form of human in order to redeem his people or the universe. Many a times, Jesus did not feel or realize his divinity which led him to pray to God. Just because of being a human, He felt the need of prayer but He was God as well.
Anyhow Jesus our Lord, on this earth taught us to pray and left the legacy that He was the Man of prayer. . Through Him, everyone on this earth should feel the importance of prayer.
Even Jesus, the son of God felt the need of prayer, then what about ourselves!
Just think a while...
